Nice restaurant, newly decorated and reasonably sized room with shower and Kingsize bed and champagne. Magnificent location for our visit to Tantallon Studios approx 10-15 minutes' walk from the hotel.

Good well run and charming old hotel, tastefully decorated rooms, bravo!
Whole place was perfectly clean with relaxing views; exceptionally nice and perfect location to a beautiful beach. A wide array of food for a continental breakfast. Lovely pool, parking on-site. No charge for wake up service and ironing too.

Fine views of the Firth of Forth, lovely garden, mini practice golf area
Cracked tiles in the bathroom, poor cleanliness in the changing rooms!!! A bit of attention to detail would go a long way to improve the overall experience!!!

The location of the house directly at the sea is captivating. There are also many rooms (bar, drawing room etc) from where you can enjoy this view. The room was nice and big, so was the bathroom.
There is a visible renovation backlog in several places in the house and there were also wobbly fittings in the bathroom. Breakfast is not particularly impressive for a house with this standard, and overall the price-performance ratio is not good.

Staff very friendly, food did not meet our expectations, that we can not expect it in Scotland. Beds very comfortable.
The food, not as good as in other European countries.

Room offered magnificent views of the golf course and Atlantic. The flexible swimming pool setup was inviting enough for a quick dip after our long days exploring the area.
Checked in just past the allotted time, only to find our room not ready and a frustrating 10-minute wait to get our key. Our Beautiful Double Room, while spacious, had a troublesome shower over a narrow bath with inconsistent controls, and the lack of drawers cluttered the space leaving little for storage. The decor felt outdated with chipped furniture and walls needing a fresh coat of paint, and I found the cleanliness of the windows quite disappointing. Breakfast options were acceptable but the dining area reminded me of it could use a refreshing update.

The hotel has stunning views and a lovely lounge for relaxation, though the breakfast service left much to be desired, with long waits and missing items. Despite these few bumps, the staff were generally friendly, and the spa facilities provided a nice retreat during the stay.
